Intention Oils for Your Magickal Workings
Not only do I use oils for their health benefits, I use them in my magick. Using ritual oils sounds cliché, however each practitioner has their own methods whether passed down or created. They use special ingredients that best feeds their spirit. Each herb and oil has its own special spiritual properties and adds personality to the oil. This is why knowing the energy of the herbs is essential. Remember that intention/anointing oils are used in many different cultures, religions and spiritual practices. They will vary in smell, energy and potency.
I use oils during rituals, for setting intention, for dressing candles and for anointing. Here’s how I use my oils.

Anointing: On specific days, hours, and whenever the moment calls for it, Anoint certain parts of your body and or objects to draw in and or radiate certain energies. Anointing can be done multiple times a day, afternoon or evening. Remember to test a small amount of oil on a part of your body that you can hide to check for any allergic reactions.
Rituals: Oils carry the magick and intention you infused during a certain point in time. That magick is carried long after the moment has passed. Use the oil during your own sacred rituals to amplify the energy, draw it in and or banish it. Oils can also help to heighten your intuition for more potent and intense rituals. Use with caution and ensure that the oil you use matches your intentions. The last thing you want or need is for your magick to backfire.
Divination: Intention oils can be massaged into the third eye region of your forehead to awaken and or increase your psychic abilities. You can use them before readings, before the use of crystal balls and any other divination session. I have had major success when using my Ethereal Visions Mystic Oil paired with the Ethereal Visions Mystic Candle before my readings.
Use with candles: please refer to the Candle Magick page for in depth details.
